About

The shifting silhouette of the building catches a person’s eye from afar. The library is carefully designed in three volumes, which organically merge into the surrounding pine forest while emphasizing the harmony between architecture and nature. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow the people within to naturally connect to the view that becomes a part of the interior, as well as letting light fill the spaces.

Flexible opening hours, numerous bookcases and a democratically planned environment promote both individual and group work, and provide an answer to a question of what a contemporary library where one would be inspired to learn should be.

Discover the genius loci  with an independent audio tour through the library.
