About

49 Konarskis street is a single address that bore witness to the entire Lithuanian television history and a great part of Lithuanian radio history. A building complex that consists of stylistically different parts that were built in different periods expanded and developed together with the Lithuanian technical evolution, progress, opportunities and needs.

The old part of building, which was built based on a repeated project, the grey upper part located further from the street and the even farther three-story pavilions are not attention grabbing. Yet it is worthwhile to stop and look. It is also worthwhile to go inside, and to only leave once you get to know the structure of the building, its history and its value to our technical and cultural development. We will not have time to speak about dull facts and statistical figures in this building, we would rather spend time on unique stories about its spaces, history, technology and people.

This building complex is not a museum but rather a textbook on Lithuanian radio and television, where you can learn about both: the decade-old machinery and the most modern robotic TV studio of the Baltics. You will get a chance to see the authentic halls dedicated to radio concerts, modern radio and TV studios, editing rooms and warehouses filled with decorations.

A building that is creating the history of technology is opening its doors to you, while history has created the building itself.
