Vilnius Furniture Warehouse Redevelopment | Atrandi Biosciences Offices and Laboratories

Industrial Vilkpėdė is rapidly transforming – vast factories built in the second half of the 20th century are giving way to startups, creative offices, and unconventional spaces.

Atrandi Biosciences is a contemporary biotechnology startup office with laboratories, housed in a transformed warehouse of Vilniaus Baldai. The building brings together the industrial character of Vilkpėdė, the proximity of the Paneriai forest, the precision of laboratory spaces, and functional office environments.

The interior preserves and integrates the original load-bearing structures of the former warehouse, as well as its metal floor tiles. Raw, untreated materials –concrete, metal, and glass blocks –give the spaces a distinct identity and maintain an industrial atmosphere that contrasts with the sterility of the laboratories.

The Atrandi Biosciences building has not only physically transformed the former warehouse but has also become a catalyst for change – giving its name to Atradimų Akligatvis (Discovery Cul-de-sac) and sparking discussions about the future of this area as a public space.
