One weekend, thousands of stories – join the “Open House Vilnius” volunteer team

On May 16–17, the open architecture weekend “Open House Vilnius” returns to Vilnius, and we are assembling a team of volunteers to lead guided tours.

One of the city’s most beloved events, the festival opens the doors to buildings that are usually closed to the public, offering a rare opportunity to explore Vilnius’ architecture and the stories behind it.

Since 2015, “Open House Vilnius” has brought together more than 3,500 volunteers – maybe this year you’ll be one of them? During the weekend, volunteers become the hosts of the buildings: welcoming visitors, leading tours, helping people find their way, and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere. You can also get involved behind the scenes by supporting the organizational team.

Anyone aged 18 or over is welcome to volunteer. It doesn’t matter whether you have a background in architecture or are simply curious and eager to try something new – everyone is welcome. What matters most is your motivation to be part of the experience and your commitment to volunteer on both days of the event. Our mentors will provide all the necessary training, introduce you to the buildings, and make sure you feel confident and prepared for the festival weekend.

Volunteering at “Open House Vilnius” is not only a chance to gain knowledge and new skills, but also to meet inspiring people, experience unforgettable moments, take part in trial tours, attend the closing event, and receive a commemorative T-shirt.
