Open House Vilnius is organized by the voluntary, non-governmental, non-profit public institution Architektūros fondas. By becoming a friend or sponsor, you can contribute to the success of Open House Vilnius. Our sponsors’ contributions allow us to accomplish our goals and make the event better, as well as provide the opportunity for people to become familiar with their own city and its diverse architecture. Volunteer

The success of the event depends on a large group of passionate people who love architecture. In exchange for their contribution to organizing the event, volunteers have the chance to discover extraordinary buildings, their authors, and their staff by preparing and giving their own tours.

The Open House Vilnius Architecture Festival is organized by brave and challenge-seeking volunteers. Over the weekend, hundreds of city enthusiasts give tours and talk about architecture. The event has had 140 volunteers in its first year, as many as 500 in 2019, and the total of 3,103 in the 9 years since its inception. Many volunteer for years, and some never miss an event.

Volunteering in architecture provides greater insight into the architecture and history of the city. Most of our volunteers are not architects, but come from a variety of fields. Those unfamiliar with architecture do not need to worry: the volunteers are prepared and trained by a mentor who is responsible for coordinating the team and preparing the tours.
