Swedbank Central Office

The Swedbank administrative building is one of the most prominent landmarks of modern Vilnius city center on the right bank of the Neris River. The central bank office, which unites nine bank branches, stands out for its architectural rationality and quality. An important element of the building is the idea of an axis, manifested by the fact that part of the building – a glass atrium – extends the axis of the old Ukmergė Street and connects to a large terrace, beloved by city residents, from which one can admire the panorama of Vilnius.

Creating a unique place in the city, the creators set themselves many challenges and encouraged the search for non-standard solutions. This place is interesting both from an urban and natural point of view.

The Swedbank central office in Vilnius has fundamentally changed the traditionally established relationship between the bank building and its visitors in Lithuania – when creating this building, a sense of responsibility to the community was felt, so a significant part of both the territory and the interior space is dedicated to people who come here not only for financial services, but also to the townspeople. This building has one of the largest public terraces in Lithuania, with an area of 4500 square meters.

It is undoubtedly one of the brightest examples of modern architecture in all of Lithuania.
