Krivių g. 44, Užupis
In the Užupis Republic, surrounded by the greenery of Kalnų Park, the “Krivių namai” (Krivių Houses) have been built. This is a complex of eight modern and contemporary houses consisting of three-story brick houses with attics and underground garages. The buildings have optimally sized and rationally planned apartments with outdoor terraces.
The architectural expression of the complex is characterized by gable roofs, a subtle color scheme of the facades, and plaster and wood finishes that create a connection with the surrounding environment. The correct proportions of the buildings, cozy, intimate spaces between the houses form a whole and try to blend into the unique atmosphere of Užupis.
The designed buildings are harmoniously incorporated into the environment that remembers the historical memory, blending into its urban context. Located next to the Vilnius Castle Complex, the residential district is one of the best combinations of historical and contemporary architecture in Vilnius.
“Even the first part of the complex, built a couple of years ago, stood out for its high quality of residential environment and architectural aesthetics. When designing the second part of the complex, the architects managed to surpass themselves, not by repeating themselves, but by seeking new, even more perfect solutions”, said architect doc. Linas Naujokaitis.
