DC Pier – Danske Bank Office
About
“DC Pier” is one of five Danske Bank buildings located in the Žvėrynas district of Vilnius. This modern six-story office, opened in 2018, occupies the historic site of the “Vilniaus duona” bakery, which once employed few hundred workers.
Today, nearly 1000 employees work in this office. The “U”-shaped building incorporates many sustainable and innovative solutions. Thanks to the solar panels on the roof, the building requires less energy, and a new engineering system inside regulates humidity and sunlight levels. All of these features, and more, have earned the building one of the few BREEAM certificates in Lithuania.
Special attention is paid not only to creating a comfortable workspace but also to meeting social needs. Employees have daily access to a 150-seat cafeteria, coffee points, a gym, a game room, and nap rooms.
All of the offices located on Saltoniškių Street reflect different motifs related to nature. The DC Pier building is distinguished by its prevailing element – water. That is why the office is named “Pier”. The entire building is unified by the theme of water, which is reflected in the architecture of its interior facades, interior design decisions, and even its names.
