In the revitalizing station district around the building, on Raugyklos Street, a former abandoned warehouse has been transformed into an apartment building with offices on the ground floor.
This project, which presented a challenge to the team of architects, demonstrates that low-value architecture can be renovated and become a part of the street that drives change. The building has been adapted to modern needs: inside, partitions form functional-sized apartments with balconies and terraces, the renovated facades have old windows replaced with new ones, and the subtle wooden trim between the windows is a distinctive accent.
The exceptionally visible facade on Raugyklos Street immediately attracts the attention of passersby – the spaces designed inside, spanning the entire floor, reveal the everyday life there: conversations at the kitchen island, lectures, meetings, and creative discussions.
On the second floor of the building, functional apartments are designed atypically – entrances from the outside through terraces and an ergonomic layout of spaces create a Western quality of urban life.
On the third floor, residents have settled into loft spaces with high ceilings, glazed courtyards in the living rooms, and roof terraces. These are truly atypical homes, filled with the experiences and knowledge that the architects have accumulated over the years.
