Nestled quietly in the Sluškai Valley, between T. Kosciuškos and Sluškų streets, lies a unique gem – the Pure Heart Japanese Garden, or Sei Shin En. In this small corner of nature, Eastern aesthetics, the historical landscape of Vilnius, and the idea of harmony blend with exquisite sensitivity.
The garden was born from the dream of artist Dalia Dokšaitė, brought to life together with landscape architect Laura Popkytė-Fukumoto and Japanese garden master Yasuo Kitayama.
At the heart of this space is a natural spring, gently flowing down the slope through moss and pines. Winding among carefully placed stones, it creates a dialogue between symbols and nature. As you walk the pathways, perspectives shift – from lush green moss to the shimmering play of water reflections.
This is a place where time stands still, inviting moments of silence, reflection, and aesthetic contemplation.
Today, the garden is not only a unique green space in the heart of Vilnius but also a living bridge between Lithuanian and Japanese cultures. It invites visitors to explore, feel, and experience the essence of Japanese aesthetics right here in the city.
