A building designed by the Nasvyčiai brothers, unique in its function and architectural solutions and preserving the interior typical of its period;
The architects implemented the challenge of finding the artistic form of the building that suited the purpose of the parliament and its connection with the natural environment;
The repetition and harmony of materials stand out in the building – its decorative plaster, color, shapes of the outdoor lamps are repeated both outside and inside;
The interior is decorated with a unique stained glass window by the artist Kazys Morkūnas, titled “Celebration” („Šventė”);
The building commemorates the history of the restoration of Lithuania’s independence, and in the Seimas Visitors’ Center established in 2019, the public has the opportunity to get acquainted with the activities of the modern parliament, legislative procedures, as well as attend meetings with members of the Seimas.
